Columbus is easily accessible and conveniently located 90 minutes from Omaha and Lincoln, 75 minutes from Grand Island and 50 minutes from I-80. US Highways 30 and 81 intersect in the city.

Lincoln Highway Byway

The Lincoln Highway (Hwy. 30) was America’s first coast-to-coast motor route. Because of its rich history and 400-mile trek through Nebraska, the Lincoln Highway has been designated as a Nebraska Scenic Byway. Automobile clubs and visitors travel through Columbus each year to experience traveling this piece of history.

Our community of 24,000 is large enough to adequately meet the needs of your group yet not too big to forget that hometown feel. The Convention and Visitors Bureau offers complimentary services to help make any visit go smoothly. Call or email us today so we can share what services we can offer your group. We guarantee service above and beyond! Should you have any questions about potential stops for a tour you are bringing through town, the best accommodations for your group, or for group specials please contact Theresa Grape, Director of the Columbus & Platte County CVB. She is looking forward to speaking with you and showing you how Columbus can accommodate your group.
